heyhey all!! here's the theme for this week's featured artwork/artists: TEAMWORK!! yeaaaah that's right, art is all about working together. okok maybe not, but this stuff's a nice and inspirational example of what it means to be a friend. ^^
I picked a bunch of pieces and drew names from a hat to pick the 5 main features, so here are the lucky few:

a great shot showing what is possible with cooperation. the detail of the small ants and their foreground is great, coupled with the watercolor-like blur of the back. ~
junyuen's gallery is gorgeous, playing with reflection, silhouette, and scenery. check his stuff out!!

aww, how adorable. ^^ I love the colors of the two shots, and their identicalness...with the addition of one more kid. it's just sweet. the shot seems so much more "complete" with two. the lovely artist's gallery is definitely worth some exploring!!!! she has beautiful portraits and dramatic and emotive scenes. her use of color and contrast is breathtaking, with muted tones, bright highlights, and dramatic shadow--it gives all her shots a very neat, "clean" look. there's also a kitty!

I found these guys on random search and I fell in love with them. ^^ their photos tell stories in single shots. some of their stuff is humorous, some of it dramatic: all of it emotive. be sure to read the titles. great use of lighting & color. the environment seems dark and dirty but the models/artists are clean and radiant. really really nice to look at

definitely got a good grasp of their equipment & their emotions, & good chemistry. very small gallery so far but check it out

haha I love this shot!! so simple but so powerful. two trees help out their friend.

I have such a soft spot for shots like these, totally spontaneous and natural but practically "posed". isn't it cool? ~
fancy's gallery is expansive, with tons of great shots. she focuses a lot on nature, both scenery and close-up. she's got all kinds of talent

check out her paintings or portrait sketches. she's also got a few collages and a fun depiction of "the white stripes" with lego. 8D;

classic example right here!! "you hold my life in your hands". nice framing with the foreground and background, and i really love all the texture on the rock climbing wall, the shadows and ridges provide a great backdrop and focal interest. her gallery's got a lot of other great examples of black and white photography, lots of portraits and close-ups.

absolutely in love with this shot--just so powerful and emotional. I just can't do justice to how mindblowing their entire gallery is--fantastic, artistic portraits, all very emotive and intriguing, some beautiful, some disturbing. great use of color in texture in the after-editing here, I am usually not a fan of this much "touching up" but *
ASHBINCITIZEN-JIF makes me question my convictions with their skill.
and of course, definitely not any lesser, the rest of my picks!

To college! I can't wait! What do you think we'll find when we get there?
Hmm... That the students are shockingly ignorant, the professors self-centered and corrupt, and the entire system geared soley to the pursuit of funding?
